Sweetwater Affair

Danielle and Danny tied the knot on Saturday night. It was a sweet wedding bringing together family and friends from all over. Danielle did it all. She made all the arrangements... even the table floral arrangements. She just finished her nursing degree, but she really got schooled on the ways of wedding planning! She did a great job. The ceremony was held at the First United Methodist Church in downtown Gainesville which afforded us the opportunity to take advantage of some of the grungy local spots for wedding party pics. The reception was held at one of my local favorites - The Sweetwater Branch Inn. Danielle and Danny, thanks so much! Sheli and I had a wonderful time celebrating with you! Enjoy the photos. There are more to come! - Mary

Memories this Memorial Day

To all you men and women out there who serve our country, thank you. I feel really lame comparing my life struggles to those of military personnel, but Robert and I are getting a little bit of a taste of what it feels like to be separated. While my husband is not in a war-torn area, he still is a thousand miles away from me, and I don't like it one bit! He's already made the move home to Little Rock where I will be joining him in 27 days. I know it is nothing compared to a 12 month deployment, but nonetheless my heart goes out to each of you who have been or will be separated from loved ones. Life is a little emptier when they aren't near.

I hope each of you enjoy your weekend to the fullest... playing at the lake, barbecuing in the backyard, celebrating with friends and family. I have the pleasure of photographing two weddings this weekend. In fact, I'm headed out the door right now to start on the first. There will be blog posts coming from these fantastic celebrations!

This photo was taken at Pearl Harbor last March. What an incredible monument honoring our service men and women. If you get the chance, go see it!

Happy Memorial day everyone! - Mary

Tropical Paradise

Two of Robert and my dear friends from Little Rock tied the knot in Jamaica last weekend. Gareth and Cristie have been together for years, and it was such a pleasure to join them for a wedding weekend filled with laughter, love, friendship, and rum! About 40 of us found our way to the Caribbean to join in the celebrations, and it was truly a delight. Thursday and Friday were a bit cloudy, but don't let that fool you. The sun still works its magic from behind the veil. Saturday, wedding day, the sun came out in full force. The 11 o'clock ceremony was bright, blue, and very warm. We all were motivated by the heat and humidity to move through photos quickly and get on with the good stuff... vacation!

Gareth and Cristie, I want you to know that it was so much fun photographing you guys. Thanks for kissing in public for me! You both are dear to me, and it was such a pleasure to be a part of these festivities. I wish you ALL the best! Enjoy the sneak peak...

Cristie's Ingredients

She wore a beautiful dress from JCrew that was just perfect!

This was the view from Gareth + Cristie's room! Gorgeous!

The ceremony took place in the middle of the resort atop a little
cliff. It was nice and secluded, unlike some of the other possible venues.

There wedding party consisted of Bob + Sarah, but I couldn't leave out this
classic shot of Amy! They were all precious and so much fun to be with.

The whole crew!

Robert and I with the newly weds.

Jamaica Man

Hello there! It has been a while since I last blogged. We are in full "wedding season" over here, and it is busy to say the least! Robert and I are going to get a little break, though, starting today. We are frantically packing our bags and running out the door to Jamaica! Great friends of ours from Little Rock, Gareth and Cristie, are getting married in Jamaica on Saturday. I am THRILLED to be their photographer and can't wait to show you fun photos from their truly Caribbean romance. While you wait, check out some of these photos from their Engagement Session last December. They're too cute...
